So close to Zürich yet so (relatively) undiscovered. The foggy hills of Piedmont shroud some of Italy’s best-kept secrets: land of butter over olive oil, risotto and braised meats... did someone say truffles? Not coincidentally, the Slow Food movement’s birthplace is also arguably Italy's top wine region (shh, don't tell Tuscany!).
Taste an array of local specialty whites, reds and sparklers scarcely grown anywhere else. Classic Old World food-friendly style means they taste better alongside traditional fare: the inimitable vitello tonnato, cheeses, salumi and more... all leading up to (what else?) a famously expensive and long-lived Barolo. Not to mention our surprise all-time-favorite chocolate dessert pairing ;-)
